- 1056B50 coolant temperature sensor - r + r

- 5510C30 engine timing sensor - r+r

- 5510C26 rpm sensor - r+r

- 1080D22 oil vapour pipe from cam cover to intake r r

- 1072C44 exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r

- 4450B04 right front wheel r r

- 1092B40 air conditioner compressor/alternator drive belt - r + r

- 1092A12 crankshaft pulley - r+r for versions with air conditioner

- 1032D12 timing system protective cover(s) - r + r

- 7055A42 front grille - r+r

- 1032B14 toothed timing belt - r + r for timing adjustment or replacement versions with air conditioner

- 1088B10 engine cooling tank - r + r

- 5040A20 air conditioner compressor - r+r - includes fluid level check and top up if necessary

- 5530A14 alternator - r+r for versions with air conditioner

- 5040A26 compressor mount - r r

- 1016C11 single cylinder head-r r gasket for versions with air conditioner

- 1020A26 crankcase sump - r r clean mating surfaces and apply sealant for vehicle with air conditioner

1. Undo the bolts fixing the connecting rod cap.

- 7055A42 front grille - r+r

- 1032B14 toothed timing belt - r + r for timing adjustment or replacement versions with air conditioner

1. Undo the bolts fixing the connecting rod cap.

Removing

Proceed with the removal - 1028H11 piston connecting rod set - r r, bearing in mind to only work on the cylinder involved.

Lower the ramp.

Remove the piston complete with connecting rod.

Lower the ramp.

Remove the piston complete with connecting rod.

1.3 JTD 16v

Refitting

Proceed with the refitting - 1028H11 piston connecting rod set - r r, bearing in mind to only work on the cylinder involved.

Refitting

1. Use the tool (1a) and fit the piston (1b) in the cylinder chamber (1b).

Make sure that the arrow, stamped on the piston crown, is facing the timing side and that the number, stamped on the big end, corresponds to the one of the connecting rod cap.

Position the connecting rod caps and secure them tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.
