FUEL TANK - R + R FOR REPLACEMENT

Operation 1040A14 · FUEL TANK AND COMPONENTS

1.9 JTS, 2.2 JTS

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the battery terminal (-).

Op. 1040A10 FUEL TANK - R + R AND DECANT FUEL

1. Undo the ring nut (1a) using the tool (1b).

Take care because the ring nut comes off upwards as soon as it is released from the fuel tank.

1. Remove the submerged fuel assembly complete with level gauge control.

2. Remove the O-ring.

Refitting

- Place a new O-Ring seal in the housing on the fuel tank collar and make sure that it is correctly positioned.

- Position the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge control in its housing.

Fit the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge ensuring that the reference is in line with the arrow on the tank.

- Tighten the ring nut securing the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge using the tool.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

- Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the battery terminal (-).

2. Remove the O-ring.

Refitting

- Place a new O-Ring seal in the housing on the fuel tank collar and make sure that it is correctly positioned.

- Position the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge control in its housing.

Fit the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge ensuring that the reference is in line with the arrow on the tank.

- Tighten the ring nut securing the submerged pump assembly complete with level gauge using the tool.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

Removing

Op. 4450B13 REAR WHEELS (TWO) - R.R

Op. 2720C10 DIFFERENCIAL UNIT - R.R.

Op. 2410A18 TRANSMISSION WITH JOINTS INCLUDED - R.R.

Op. 7050A20 ONE-PIECE REAR SEAT CUSHION - R.R.

Op. 1040A10 FUEL TANK - R + R AND DECANT FUEL

1. Undo the ring nut (1a) using the tool (1b).

Take care because the ring nut comes off upwards as soon as it is released from the tank.

1. Lift up the submerged fuel assembly complete with level gauge control.

2. Disconnect the additional fuel level sensor electrical connection.

3. Disconnect the rapid connector for the connecting pipe between the pump supply and additional unit.

4. Open the clips and disconnect the fuel draught pipe from the additional compartment.

- Remove the submerged pump assembly.

- Remove the O-ring.

Refitting

- Place a new O-Ring seal in the housing on the fuel tank collar and make sure that it is correctly positioned.

- Connect the rapid connector for the connecting pipe between the pump supply and additional unit.

- Connect the fuel draught pipe from the additional compartment to the clips.

- Connect the additional fuel level sensor electrical connection.

- Place the submerged pump assembly in position complete with level gauge respecting the references and arrows stamped on it and on the tank.

- Tighten the ring nut securing the pump assembly with the tool used for the removal.
