FUEL FILLER PIPE ASSEMBLY- R + R

Operation 1040A30 · FUEL TANK AND COMPONENTS

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

Op. 4450B08 RIGHT REAR WHEEL - R.R

Op. 7055B45 RIGHT REAR WHEEL ARCH LINER - R.R

Op. 1076B22 REAR EXHAUST SILENCERS (ONE) LH OR RH R R

1. Undo the fastenings (1a) and remove the right rear heat shield (1b).

1. Remove the fuel filler pipe cap.

2. Undo the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

- Draw off the fuel from the tank using a suitable tool and protection in line with current safety regulations.

1. Undo the bolt securing the band.

1. Loosen the band securing the fuel filler pipe to the tank.

2. Disconnect the breather pipe from the intermediate connector.

3. Remove the fuel filler pipe assembly.

Refitting

- Place the fuel filler pipe assembly in its housing.

- Connect the breather pipe to the intermediate connector.

- Tighten the bolt securing the band.

- Tighten the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

- Place the fuel filler pipe cap in its housing.

- Place the right rear heat shield back in its housing and secure it using the fastenings.

- Refill the fuel system.

- Check that there are no leaks from the fuel system.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Remove the fuel filler pipe cap.

2. Undo the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

- Draw off the fuel from the tank using a suitable tool and protection in line with current safety regulations.

1. Undo the bolt securing the band.

1. Loosen the band securing the fuel filler pipe to the tank.

2. Disconnect the breather pipe from the intermediate connector.

3. Remove the fuel filler pipe assembly.

Refitting

- Place the fuel filler pipe assembly in its housing.

- Connect the breather pipe to the intermediate connector.

- Tighten the bolt securing the band.

- Tighten the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

- Place the fuel filler pipe cap in its housing.

- Refill the fuel system.

- Check that there are no leaks from the fuel supply system.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

3.2 JTS

Removing

Op. 1076B22 REAR EXHAUST SILENCERS (ONE) LH OR RH R R

Op. 1076A52 EXHAUST PIPE REAR HEAT SHIELD(S) - R.R

1. Remove the fuel filler pipe cap.

2. Undo the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the fuel filler pipe and breather pipe bracket.

- Undo the right side fastenings for the fuel tank heat shield and lower it.

1. Position the jack underneath the fuel tank.

2. Undo the nut for the fuel tank right mounting bracket rear fastening.

1. Disconnect the rapid connector (1a) connecting the fuel filler pipe to the tank using the tool (1b).

- Work in a similar fashion to disconnect the breather pipe.

Refitting

- Place the fuel filler pipe together with the breather pipe in the housing.

- Connect the two pipes to the fuel tank connectors.

- Fasten the two pipes to the bodyshell tightening the bracket.

- Place the tank mounting bracket in position and secure it using the nut.

- Place the tank heat shield in position and fasten it to the tank mounting bracket.

- Connect the fuel filler pipe upper flange to the bodyshell and secure it using the bolts.

- Tighten the fuel filler pipe cap.
