Op. 1060E10 DIESEL INJECTION PRESSURE PUMP - R.R.

1. Undo the upper alternator fixing bolts.

1. Undo the lower alternator fixing bolt, then move the alternator to the side and secure it appropriately.

2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the engine components single belt moving tensioner (2b).

1. Disconnect the rapid connector for the fuel return pipe to the tank, fuel return manifold side.

2. Undo the bolts fixing the rigid section of the engine oil vapour recovery pipe.

3. Undo the bolt fixing the pressure pump mounting to the cylinder head.

1. Disconnect the vacuum intake pipes from the vacuum reservoir.

2. Undo the nuts (2a) and remove the vacuum reservoir (2b).

3. Loosen the bands and disconnect the engine oil vapour recovery pipes, engine oil vapour separator side.

4. Loosen the band and disconnect the condensed engine oil recovery pipe, engine oil vapour separator side.

1. Undo the fastenings (1a) and remove the bracket (1b) complete with engine oil vapour separator (1c).

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the pressure pump mounting (1b).

Refitting

1. Place the pressure pump mounting (1a) in its housing and secure it tightening the new bolts (1b) to the recommended torque.

- Place the bracket complete with engine oil vapour separator in its housing and secure it.

- Connect the condensed oil recovery pipe, engine oil vapour separator side, and tighten the band.

- Connect the engine oil vapour recovery pipes, engine oil vapour separator side and tighten the bands.

- Place the vacuum reservoir back in its housing and secure it using the nuts.

- Connect the vacuum intake pipes to the vacuum reservoir.

1. Tighten the new bolt fixing the pressure pump mounting to the cylinder head to the recommended torque.

2. Undo the bolts fixing the rigid section of the engine oil vapour recovery pipe.

3. Connect the rapid connector for the fuel return pipe to the tank, fuel return manifold side.

- Position the engine components single belt moving tensioner in its housing and secure it tightening the bolt to the recommended torque.

- Place the alternator in position and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- On this car, it is not possible to remove/refit the pressure pump mount on the car.

To perform this operation, remove/refit the power unit

Op. 1004B10 POWER UNIT WITH MANUAL GEARBOX - R.R

and then work at the bench, customising the operation according to the engine service procedures.
