BODY COMPUTER NODE (NBC)
SPECIFICATIONS
The Body Computer Node (NBC), a component which manages man functions micro-electronically, is connected to the dashboard electro-mechanical controlo unit (CPL); the combination of the two, known as the dashboard node (NPL) is located in the area under the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel.
The electronic section of the dashboard node carries out the following functions:
- receives and transmits information on B-CAN line (e.g.: diagnosis, warnings, commanda, data) and C-CAN lines (e.g. warnings, commands, data)
- receives and transmits information on a two-way serial line for the alarm, wipers, exterior lights
- connections with the dashboard, front and rear wiring
- allows an interface for fault diagnosis via the EOBD fixed connector
- is connected to the CPL to take supplies/signals and operate relays
