2.0 16v

Removing

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the pressure plate and the clutch disc (1b).

If it is being reused, mark the position of the clutch control mechanism in relation to the engine flywheel.

Refitting

Check that there are no oil leaks at the crankshaft (flywheel side); if there are, proceed with dismantling the flywheel and replacing the gasket.

1. If there are signs of wear, overheating or deep grooves on the pressure plate, replace the assembly.

2. If the linings are excessively worn, the complete driven disc must be replaced.

Fit the driven disc and the pressure plate and align them using the clutch centering tool.

Tighten the bolts fixing the clutch to the flywheel to torque.

2.0 16V JTD, 2.2 16V JTD

Removing

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the pressure plate and the clutch disc (1b).

If reused, mark the position of the clutch control mechanism in relation to the flywheel.

Refitting

Check there are no oil leaks from the crankshaft (flywheel). Otherwise, remove the flywheel and replace the gasket.

1. Remove the thrust bearing (1b) from the clutch using the tool (1a).

1. If there are signs of wear, overheating or deep grooves on the pressure plate, replace the assembly.

2. If the linings are excessively worn, the complete driven disc must be replaced.

1. Fit the driven disc and the pressure plate and align them using the clutch centering tool.

Tighten the bolts fixing the clutch to the flywheel to torque.
