Operation 3310A50 · FRONT DISC BRAKES

1.1, 1.2 8v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Remove the left front wheel.

- 4450B02 left front wheel r r

Remove the right front wheel.

- 4450B04 right front wheel r r

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the front brake caliper (1b) aside.

1.3 JTD 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Remove the left front wheel.

Remove the right front wheel.

- 4450B04 right front wheel r r

1. Undo the bolts (1a), then move the front brake calipers (1b) away from the work area.

1. Remove the front brake pads from the seat on the brackets.

1. Remove the front brake pads from the seat on the brackets.

1. Undo the retaining bolts.

2. Remove the front brake caliper bracket.

1. Undo the retaining bolts.

2. Remove the front brake caliper brackets.

1. Undo the fixing pins.

2. Remove the front brake discs.

1. Undo the fixing pins.

2. Remove the front brake discs.

1.1, 1.2 8v

Refitting

Fit the front brake discs and tighten the pins to the specified torque.

Fit the brake caliper bracket on the disc and tighten the two fixing bolts to torque.

Fit the front brake pads in their seats on the bracket.

Fit the front brake calipers to the discs and brackets.

Tighten the brake calipers to torque by tightening the bolts to the brackets.

Fit the left front wheel.

Fit the right front wheel.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.3 JTD 16v

Refitting

Fit the front brake discs and tighten the pins to the specified torque.

Fit the brake caliper bracket on the disc and tighten the two fixing bolts to torque.

Fit the front brake pads in their seats on the bracket.

Fit the front brake calipers to the discs and brackets

Tighten the bolts that secure the calipers to the brackets to torque.

Fit the left front wheel.

Fit the right front wheel.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.
