Operation 3310A57 · FRONT DISC BRAKES

1.1, 1.2 8v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Remove the left front wheel.

- 4450B02 left front wheel r r

Or the right front wheel.

- 4450B04 right front wheel r r

1. Unscrew the bolt (1a) and move the front brake caliper assembly (3b) aside.

1.3 JTD 16v

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

Remove the left front wheel.

- 4450B02 left front wheel r r

Or the right front wheel.

- 4450B04 right front wheel r r

1. Undo the bolts (1a), then move the front brake caliper (1b) sideways.

1.1, 1.2 8v

1. Remove the front brake pads from their seat on the bracket.

1. Remove the front brake pads from their seat on the bracket.

1. Undo the retaining bolts.

2. Remove the front brake caliper bracket.

1. Undo the retaining bolts.

2. Remove the front brake caliper bracket.

Refitting

Fit the brake caliper bracket on the disc and tighten the two fixing bolts to torque.

Fit the brake pads into their seat on the bracket.

Fit the front brake caliper on the disc and bracket.

Tighten the brake caliper to torque by tightening the bolt to the bracket.

Fit the left front wheel.

Fit the right front wheel.

- 4450B04 right front wheel r r

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.3 JTD 16v

Refitting

Fit the brake caliper bracket on the disc and tighten the two fixing bolts to torque.

Fit the brake pads into their seat on the bracket.

Fit the front brake caliper on the disc and bracket.

Tighten the bracket fixing bolts to torque.

Fit the left front wheel.

Fit the right front wheel.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.
