RADIO - DESCRIPTION

DESCRIPTION

The vehicle is equipped with a radio system comprising:

- radio;

- front speakers (woofers in the doors and tweeters in the dashboard);

- rear speakers located in the side panels;

- cables connecting the radio with the speakers;

- the "aerial system":

the aerial system comprises an AM and FM amplifier where the AM signal arrives from the serigraphy in the right rear side window via a unipolar cable whilst the FM signal arrives from the heated rear windscreen filaments via a coaxial cable with screening earthed at the tailgate right near the connection to the serigraphy. The cable that carries the signal to the radio module leaves the AM/FM amplifier.

A sophisticated Bose HIFI system with special HIFI speakers and an outside amplifier can also be fitted.

The radio is a CAN node through which information is exchanged with the Body Computer and with the other electronic units.

The radio is equipped with an anti-theft system through the connection of the radio at the CAN with the Body Computer; it also manages the volume control linked to the vehicle speed: the volume increases and decreases in relation to the speed of the vehicle: this information reaches the radio node via the CAN.

Some versions are equipped with a series of buttons on the steering wheel: these make it possible to replicate some of the commands which are acquired in the same way by the actual radio.

It is also possible to fit a multi-polar cable connecting the radio to a CD player located in the boot, on the right hand side.

On the version with the built in "CONNECT NAV +" radio-telephone-navigator the radio is incorporated in the unit.

The aerial has two functions (GSM/GPS) for the operation of the telephone and for the operation of the navigator and it is installed on the roof or, on versions with a telephone, it only has a GPS function and is concealed in the roof trim.

Bose Hi-Fi system, Connect Nav+

DESCRIPTION

A sophisticated Bose HIFI system with special HIFI speakers and an outside amplifier is available on request.

The system has been developed ad hoc for the vehicle: the acoustic properties of the passenger compartment have been carefully studied so that the amplifier and the speakers are ideally suited to the vehicle: optimum listening is available in any part of the passenger compartment.

Unlike the system fitted as standard, the Bose system offers:

- special speakers at front and rear, which are midwoofers with separate tweeters;

- rear subwoofer speaker located in the luggage compartment;

- high power amplifier located in the luggage compartment.

The other components (radio, aerial, etc.) are the same as the standard system.
