ALARM - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The alarm system is managed by the alarm control unit integrated in the Body Computer M1: it is supplied by the battery from the line for the maxifuse of B99 - pin 18 of connector F and by the line protected by fuse F39 - pin 17 of connector F; the ignition-controlled supply (INT) reaches pin 9.

The Body Computer M1 receives "door open" input signals at pin 8 (driver''s front door), pin 25 (passenger front door), pin 16 (left rear door) and 26 (right rear door) of connector D; these same signals switch on the timed lights.

See E2510 COURTESY LIGHTS

The bonnet is controlled by switch I10 which is connected to pin 24 of connector B of M1.

The boot opening switch located in the lock N57 sends an earth signal to the Body Computer M1 - pin 36 of connector E; the same signal is used to switch on the boot courtesy light.

See E2520 GLOVE COMPARTMENT LIGHT - BOOT LIGHT - SUN VISOR LIGHT - DESCRIPTION

The siren P90 receives a power supply from the Body Computer M1, from pin 34 of connector B - line protected by fuse F30 of junction unit B2 and is connected through the dedicated serial line to pin 25 of connector B.

The unit that includes the volumetric and anti-tilt sensors, located in the front courtesy light G10 - connector C and F - receives a power supply from the Body Computer M1, from pin 27 of connector E - line protected by fuse F30 of junction unit B2 - and is connected via the dedicated serial line to pin 7 of connector D.

The unit also receives a power supply from the ignition-controlled line (INT) protected by fuse F49 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2; the courtesy light contains two buttons for excluding the volumetric and anti-tilt control function and the LED comes on if they are excluded.

The deterrent LED E40 located in the driver''s front door is connected to pins 6 and 8 of connector C of M66 and from there, via the CAN, to the Body Computer M1.
