RADIO - DESCRIPTION

Connect Nav+

DESCRIPTION

The vehicle is equipped with a radio system comprising:

- radio;

- front speakers (woofers in the doors and tweeters in the dashboard);

- rear speakers located in the doors

- cables connecting the radio with the speakers;

- aerial with support fitted at the rear of the roof with a coaxial connecting cable.

A sophisticated Bose HIFI system with special HIFI speakers and an outside amplifier can also be fitted.

On the version with the built in "CONNECT NAV +" radio-telephone-navigator the radio is incorporated in the unit.

The aerial has three functions (radio/GSM/GPS) for the operation of the telephone and for the navigator.

The radio is a CAN node through which information is exchanged with the Body Computer and with the other electronic units.

The radio is equipped with an anti-theft system through the connection of the radio at the CAN with the Body Computer; it also manages the volume control linked to the vehicle speed: the volume increases and decreases in relation to the speed of the vehicle: this information reaches the radio node via the CAN.

Some versions are equipped with a series of buttons on the steering wheel: these make it possible to replicate some of the commands which are acquired in the same way by the actual radio.

It is also possible to fit a multi-polar cable connecting the radio to a CD player located in the boot, on the right hand side.

The vehicle can be fitted, on request, with a simple preparation, (opt. 082) which includes a simple power supply for the radio not fitted on the vehicle, but installed in the aftermarket in accordance with the following ISO standard pin out: (connector A of P20):

- pin 3: n.c.

- pin 5: Bose amplifier presence signal

- pin 6: +lights control lighting

- pin 7: ignition-operated power supply +15

- pin 8: earth

The radio installed in the AFTERMARKET is therefore not a CAN node through which information is exchanged with the Body Computer and with the other electronic units.

The vehicle is equipped with preparation comprising:

- front speakers (woofers in the doors and tweeters in the dashboard);

- rear speakers located in the doors

- cables connecting the radio with the speakers;

- aerial with support fitted at the rear of the roof with a coaxial connecting cable.

A sophisticated Bose HIFI system with special HIFI speakers and an outside amplifier can also be fitted.

BOSE System, Connect Nav+, Radio setup

DESCRIPTION

A sophisticated Bose HIFI system with special HIFI speakers and an outside amplifier is available on request.

The system has been developed ad hoc for the vehicle: the acoustic properties of the passenger compartment have been carefully studied so that the amplifier and the speakers are ideally suited to the vehicle: optimum listening is available in any part of the passenger compartment.

Unlike the system fitted as standard, the Bose system offers:

- special speakers at front and rear, which are midwoofers with separate tweeters;

- subwoofer rear speaker located under the rear parcel shelf;

- centerfill speaker located in the centre of the dashboard under the centre air vent;

- high power amplifier located under the rear parcel shelf in the boot.

The system is completed by a microphone, located in the centre courtesy light, which detects background noise in the passenger compartment: the signal is sent for amplification allowing the optimum adjustment and equalizing of the output levels.

The other components (radio, aerial, etc.) are the same as the standard system.
