1.2 8v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 4450B02 left front wheel r r.

Proceed with removal - 5530B10 battery - r+r.

Proceed with removal - 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R..

1. Fit the tool (1a), complete with support mountings (1b).

2. Connect the fastening link to the gearbox with the aid of hooks.

1.2 16v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 5530B10 battery - r+r.

Proceed with removal - 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R..

Proceed with removal - 1008C30 power unit lower reaction link r r.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the lower radiator crossmember to the bodyshell.

2. Fit the tool (2a) and secure it using the bolts (2b).

The above bolts are fitted in place of the bolt fixing the lower radiator crossmember to the bodyshell and in place of the bolt fixing the power unit lower reaction rod to the front suspension crossmember.

1.4 16v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 5530B10 battery - r+r.

Proceed with removal - 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R..

Proceed with removal - 1008C30 power unit lower reaction link r r.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the lower radiator crossmember to the bodyshell.

2. Fit the tool (2a) and secure it using the bolts (2b).

The above bolts are fitted in place of the bolt fixing the lower radiator crossmember to the bodyshell and in place of the bolt fixing the power unit lower reaction rod to the front suspension crossmember.

1.3 JTD

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 5530B10 battery - r+r.

Proceed with removal - 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R..

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the air flow meter.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the the turbocharger air inlet sleeve from the rigid pipe, air flow meter side.

1.2 8v

1. Undo the bolts fixing the power unit gearbox side rigid support to the flexible mounting.

1.2 16v

1. Undo the bolts fixing the power unit gearbox side rigid support to the flexible mounting.

1.4 16v

1. Undo the bolts fixing the power unit gearbox side rigid support to the flexible mounting.

1.3 JTD

1. Remove the air filter (1a) complete with air flow meter (1b) by releasing from the underlying pins and then from the rear fastenings.

1.2 8v

1. Release the supply pipe from the master cylinder (1a) from the bands (1b) on the flexible mounting for the gearbox side rigid power unit support.

2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the power unit gearbox side rigid engine mount (2b).

1.2 16v

1. Release the supply pipe from the master cylinder (1a) from the bands (1b) on the flexible mounting for the gearbox side rigid power unit support.

2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the power unit gearbox side rigid engine mount (2b).

1.4 16v

1. Release the supply pipe from the master cylinder (1a) from the bands (1b) on the flexible mounting for the gearbox side rigid power unit support.

2. Undo the bolt (2a) and remove the power unit gearbox side rigid engine mount (2b).

1.3 JTD

1. Fit the tool (1a), complete with support mountings (1b).

2. Fit the tools (2a) and (2b), then connect them using links (2c) to the brackets on the engine.

1.2 8v

Refitting

1. Refit the gearbox side power unit rigid support (1a) in its seating and tighten the bolts (1b) to the specified torque.

2. Release the supply pipe from the master cylinder (2a) from the bands (2b) on the flexible mounting for the gearbox side rigid power unit support.

1.2 16v

Refitting

1. Refit the gearbox side power unit rigid support (1a) in its seating and tighten the bolts (1b) to the specified torque.

2. Release the supply pipe from the master cylinder (2a) from the bands (2b) on the flexible mounting for the gearbox side rigid power unit support.

1.4 16v

Refitting

1. Refit the gearbox side power unit rigid support (1a) in its seating and tighten the bolts (1b) to the specified torque.

2. Release the supply pipe from the master cylinder (2a) from the bands (2b) on the flexible mounting for the gearbox side rigid power unit support.

1.3 JTD

1. Undo the nut fixing the power unit gearbox side rigid support to the flexible mounting.

1.2 8v

1. Undo the bolt fixing the gearbox side rigid power unit support to the flexbile block to the specified torque.

1.2 16v

1. Undo the bolt fixing the gearbox side rigid power unit support to the flexbile block to the specified torque.

1.4 16v

1. Undo the bolt fixing the gearbox side rigid power unit support to the flexbile block to the specified torque.

1.3 JTD

Proceed with removal - 4450B02 left front wheel r r.

Proceed with removal - 7055B90 Left front WHEEL ARCH LINER - R.R..

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the gearbox side rigid power unit support (1b).

1.2 8v

Remove the safety tools used for supporting the power unit.

Proceed with refitting - 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R..

Proceed with refitting - 5530B10 battery - r+r.

Proceed with refitting - 4450B02 left front wheel r r.

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.2 16v

Remove the safety tool used for supporting the power unit.

Tighten the bolt securing the radiator bottom crossmember to the bodywork.

Proceed with refitting - 1008C30 power unit lower reaction link r r.

Proceed with refitting - 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R..

Proceed with refitting - 5530B10 battery - r+r.

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.4 16v

Remove the safety tool used for supporting the power unit.

Tighten the bolt securing the radiator bottom crossmember to the bodywork.

Proceed with refitting - 1008C30 power unit lower reaction link r r.

Proceed with refitting - 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R..

Proceed with refitting - 5530B10 battery - r+r.

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.3 JTD

Refitting

1. Refit the gearbox side power unit rigid support (1a) in its seating and tighten the bolts (1b) to the specified torque.

Proceed with refitting - 7055B90 Left front WHEEL ARCH LINER - R.R..

Proceed with refitting - 4450B02 left front wheel r r.

1. Undo the nut fixing the gearbox side rigid power unit support to the flexbile mounting to the specified torque.

Remove the safety tools used for supporting the power unit.

Replace the air filter, complete with air flow meter, in its housing.

Connect the air intake sleeve to the turbocharger, air flow meter side, and tighten the band.

Connect the electrical connection to the air flow meter.

Proceed with refitting - 5530B52 Battery DRIP TRAY/SUPPORT - R.R..

Proceed with refitting - 5530B10 battery - r+r.

Remove the car from the ramps.
