2.4 JTD 20V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the pipe to the catalytic converter.

2. Release the pins (2a) from the pipe rubber mountings (2b).

3. Remove the seal from its housing.

Refitting

- Position the seal in the special housing in the catalyzer.

- Secure the pins to the rubber mountings.

- Tighten the bolts fixing the pipe to the catalytic converter.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.4 JTD 10V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the pipe to the catalytic converter.

2. Release the pins (2a) from the pipe rubber mountings (2b).

3. Remove the seal from its housing.

Refitting

- Position the seal in the special housing in the catalyzer.

- Secure the pins to the rubber mountings.

- Tighten the bolts fixing the pipe to the catalytic converter.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.4 20V

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the nuts fixing the catalytic converter to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

2. Release the pins (2a) from the pipe rubber mountings (2b).

3. Remove the seal from its housing.

Refitting

- Position the seal in the special housing in the catalyzer.

- Secure the pins to the rubber mountings.

- Tighten the nuts fixing the catalytic converter to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

3.0 V6, 3.2 V6

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the nuts (1a) fixing the pipes (1b) between the catalytic converter (1c) and the preconverters (1d).

2. Remove the seals.

Refitting

- Position the seals.

- Tighten the nuts fixing the pipes between the catalytic converter and the preconverters.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.0 TB

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the catalytic converter to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

2. Release the pins (2a) from the pipe rubber mountings (2b).

3. Remove the seal from its housing.
