EXHAUST GAS ODOURS FROM THE BOOT

With the vehicle moving there is a smell of exhaust gas coming from the rear area.

The test should be carried out in the following conditions: vehicle speed 50 km/h, door windows closed, air conditioning system recirculation off. Carry out various pull and release tests

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS
1	AIR OUTLET VENTS CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the rear air outlet vent: that the fins open outwards and are not broken/distorted that it is fitted correctly	Move on to Step	Incorrect fitting (out of place)	Fit it correctly and, if necessary, replace it
2	TAILGATE HOUSING SEAL CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the condition of the seal and that there are no wrinkles or distortions	Move on to Step	Seal wrinkled or distorted	Replace the seal
3	TAILGATE ALIGNMENT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	With the tailgate closed, check its alignment with the roof and the rear lights.Check that the seal is correctly positioned on the entire tailgate perimeter.	Move on to Step	The tailgate is not correctly aligned	Refit the tailgate correctly
4	LOAD CARRYING COMPARTMENT SEAL CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
		Move on to Step	Seal faulty	Renew the seal
5	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the fault is no longer present
