Operation 1040B34 · FUEL SUPPLY/RETURN CIRCUIT PIPE

2.0 16V JTD

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Disconnect the front supply pipe rapid connector.

- Raise the vehicle.

1. Remove the rivets using a drill fitted with an appropriate diameter helical point.

1. Disconnect the rapid connector connected to the rear supply pipe.

2. Release the intermediate fuel supply pipe from the retaining bands and remove it.

Refitting

- Fit the rear fuel supply pipe and secure it to the retaining bands.

- Connect the rapid connector connected to the rear supply pipe.

- Refit the rivets removed previously fastening the heat shield using a riveter.

- Lower the vehicle.

- Connect the front supply pipe rapid connector.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.0 16v

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Disconnect the rapid connector for the front supply pipe (1a) and release the pipe from the retaning clip.

- Raise the vehicle.

1. Remove the rivets using a drill fitted with the appropriate size helical point.

1. Disconnect the rapid connector from the rear supply pipe.

2. Release the intermediate fuel supply pipe from the retaining bands and remove it.

Refitting

- Fit the rear fuel supply pipe and secure it to the retaining bands.

- Connect the rapid connector to the rear supply pipe.

- Using a riveter, refit the rivets removed previously fastening the heat shield.

- Lower the vehicle.

- Connect the front supply pipe rapid connector.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.2 16V JTD

Removing

- Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Disconnect the front supply pipe rapid connector.

- Raise the vehicle.

1. Remove the rivets using a drill fitted with an appropriate diameter helical point.

1. Disconnect the rapid connector connected to the rear supply pipe.

2. Release the intermediate fuel supply pipe from the retaining bands and remove it.

Refitting

- Fit the rear fuel supply pipe and secure it to the retaining bands.

- Connect the rapid connector connected to the rear supply pipe.

- Refit the rivets removed previously fastening the heat shield using a riveter.

- Lower the vehicle.

- Connect the front supply pipe rapid connector.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.
