Removing

- Position the vehicle on the lift.

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Op. 4410D16 BRACKET (ONE) RETAINING CHASSIS TO BODY - R R

Op. 5050A10 WINDSCREEN WASHER FLUID RESERVOIR (IN ENGINE BAY) - R+R

Op. 1092C14 POWER STEERING PUMP/SELF LEVELLING SUSPENSION PUMP PULLEY - R + R WITH BELT REMOVED

Op. 5530A10 ALTERNATOR - R+R

Op. 5530A40 ALTERNATOR BRACKETS/MOUNT/SPACER - R R

1. Undo the lower bolt securing the engine oil dipstick tube.

- Raise the vehicle.

1. Undo the upper bolt securing the engine oil dipstick tube.

2. Release the engine oil dipstick pipe assembly from the engine.

Refitting

1. Replace the gasket.

- Fit the engine oil dipstick tube assembly and tighten the upper retaining bolt.

- Lower the vehicle.

- Tighten the lower bolt fixing the engine oil dipstick pipe.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

- Remove the vehicle from the lift.

2.0 16v

Removing

- Undo the fixing boltS (1a) and remove the engine oil dipstick pipe (1b).

Refitting

- Fit the engine oil dipstick tube and tighten the retaining bolts.

2.0 16V JTD

Removing

- Remove the wiring from the work area.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the engine oil dipstick pipe to the cylinder block/crankcase.

2. Remove the engine oil dip stick releasing it from the engine oil sump.

Refitting

- Position the engine oil dipstick pipe in its housing.

- Tighten the bolt fixing the pipe to the crankcase.

2.2 16V JTD

Removing

- Remove the wiring from the work area.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the engine oil dipstick pipe to the cylinder block/crankcase.

2. Remove the engine oil dip stick releasing it from the engine oil sump.

Refitting

- Position the engine oil dipstick pipe in its housing.

- Tighten the bolt fixing the pipe to the crankcase.
