REAR BRAKE PADS - REPLACE

Removing

Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Acting on the adjustment nut, loosen the handbrake control cable.

1. Disconnect the handbrake cable from the mounting on the rear caliper.

1. Undo the bolts fixing the rear brake caliper to the bracket.

2. Move the rear brake caliper (2a) away from the brackets and remove the left and right brake pads (2b).

Refitting

Using the special tool, retract the rear brake caliper cylinders.

Fit new brake pads with the same specifications as those removed from the housing in the bracket.

Fit the brake pads inside the brake caliper.

Fit the rear brake caliper on the disc.

Handle the caliper carefully so that the upper wheel bolt is not subjected to force

Always replace the bolts with new parts.

- Apply a locking compound to the caliper bolts.

- Tighten the nuts securing the rear caliper to the bracket and tighten to the specified torque.

Connect the handbrake cable to the rear brake caliper connector.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

Brake with the engine running, gently and gradually, before driving the vehicle on the road.
