PRESSURE SENSOR CHECK

Check 1058AA

1.6 16v · BIPOWER

Carry out the electrical test by connecting a braid (A) between sensor (B) and its connector (C) to supply the sensor and measure the output signal using a voltmeter.

  • Place the bridge between the sensor and the connector.
  • With the ignition switched on, check that the sensor supply is about 5 Volt.
  • Check that the output voltage is between 0.5 V (with the tank full) and 4.5 V with the cylinders completely full at a pressure of 200 bar.

From May 2004, a new sensor will be introduced that will measure up to 250 bars.

The two sensors will not be interchangeable.
