CLUTCH NOISY

When the clutch pedal is operated there is a noise (creaking)

0	FIRST CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
		Results of the tests
	With the engine idling and the gear lever in neutral, press the clutch pedal. Then, with the engine running and the handbrake applied, engage first gear and release the clutch	Continue to Step 3	The noise disappears with the clutch pressed	See table S01 ENGINE KNOCK
			The noise disappears with the gear engaged	See table S40 NOISE FRONT
			The noise does not disappear:	Continue to Step 1
1	CHECK THRUST BEARING	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the thrust bearing: it should not be worn	Continue to Step 2	Bearing fault	Replace the bearing Op. 1820A30
2	CLUTCH CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the condition of the clutch plate and springs.	Continue to Step 3	Clutch plate or springs faulty	Replace the clutch plate Op. 1810A24
	Check the condition of the clutch plate and springs.	Continue to Step 3	No fault found, but defect persists	See table S20 GEARBOX DIFFERENTIAL UNIT NOISY/
3	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the fault is no longer present		Fault persists	Search for the fault starting from another symptom'
