Removing
Place the car on the ramp.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.

Raise the vehicle on a lift.
1. Undo the bolt fixing the reaction rod to the bracket on the gearbox.
2. Undo the bolt (2a) fixing the crossmember and remove the reaction rod (2b).
Refitting
Place the reaction rod back in its housing.
Tighten the bolt fixing the crossmember to the recommended torque.

Position the bolt fixed to the bracket on the gearbox and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Connect the battery negative terminal.
