Removing

Position the vehicle on the lift.

Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Raise the lift.

1. Disconnect the electrical connector for the oil pressure switch.

2. Undo and remove the engine oil pressure switch.

Refitting

Tighten the oil pressure switch to torque.

Connect the electrical connector for the oil pressure switch.

Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R.

Lower the lift.

Connect the negative battery terminal.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.6 16v

Removing

Position the vehicle on a lift.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

2. Undo and remove the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

Refitting

Position the engine oil pressure warning light switch and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Connect the electrical connection for the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R.

Connect the negative battery terminal.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.3 JTD 16V

Removing

Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

2. Undo and remove the engine oil pressure warning light switch from the cylinder head.

Refitting

1. Place the engine oil pressure warning light switch in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

2. Connect the electrical connection to the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

Connect the negative battery terminal.

1.9 DIESEL

Removing

Position the vehicle on a lift.

Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

Raise the lift.

1. Undo the retaining bolt.

2. Move the rpm sensor connection bracket aside.

1. Disconnect the electrical connection for the switch.

2. Undo and remove the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

Refitting

Position the engine oil pressure warning light switch and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Connect the electrical connection.

Tighten the bolt and secure the rpm sensor bracket.

Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R.

Lower the lift.

Connect the negative battery terminal.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.9 JTD 8V

Removing

Position the vehicle on a lift.

Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal (-).

Proceed with the removal

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

2. Undo and remove the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

Refitting

Place the engine oil pressure warning light switch in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

Connect the electrical connection to the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

Proceed with the refitting

Op. 7055B54 PROTECTION/GUARD UNDER ENGINE - R.R..

Connect the negative battery terminal (-).

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.4 8v

Removing

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

1. Disconnect electrical connection (1a), unscrew and remove the engine oil pressure warning light switch (1b).

Refitting

- Replace the engine oil pressure warning light switch in its housing and tighten it to the recommended torque.

- Connect the electrical connection for the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.
