SUN ROOF STICKING

When the relevant control is operated, the sunroof opens/closes irregularly, locking at certain points or remaining stuck at an angle.

1CHECK SUNROOF DEVICESALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Remove the glass panel

Op. 7030B18 SLIDING ROOF GLASS PANEL - R+R

Check the operation of the sunroof operating devices. In particular, check:

  • control cable status;
  • slide and guide status;
  • presence of rear end stop bolts.
Move on to Step 21. Guides dirty.1. Clean the guides with a vacuum cleaner and reapply grease if necessary using Molikote PG75 in the mechanism slide area.
2. End stop bolts missing.2. Restore the bolts and the entire feed mechanism

Remove the motor

Op. 7030B70 SUN ROOF MOVEMENT MOTOR - R+R

Check the operation of the sunroof operating devices.

In particular, check:

  • motor pinion status
  • control cable status
Move on to Step 3Faults in sunroof operating devices.Replace the affected parts.
3CHECK SUNROOF CONTROL DEVICE ALIGNMENTALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check that the sun roof assembly is fitted correctly.

In particular, check:

  • that the slides are correctly aligned with the timing points;
  • that the cable racks are correctly fastened and intact.
End of diagnosisFaults with the sun roof installation.

Check that the sun roof is fitted correctly.
