SUN ROOF NOISY / ROOF OPEN

While driving with the roof fully open, noise can be heard from the sunroof area

0PRELIMINARY CHECKSALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check whether the noise only occurs with the roof open.Move on to Step 11. The noise is heard with the roof closed

1. Proceed as instructed in the diagnosis

See table S076 SUN ROOF NOISY / WITH ROOF CLOSED

2. The noise is heard with the roof open to the swivel position.

2. Proceed as instructed in the diagnosis

1SUN ROOF FASTENING CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check the correct fastening:

  • of the transparent roof panel to the slides;
  • of the full roof mechanism to the body
Move on to Step 2Faulty fastenings.

Restore the fastening of the entire mechanism and roof

2CHECK SUN ROOF CONTROL DEVICESALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check the operation of the sun-roof operating devices:

  • with the sunroof open to the swivel setting, ensure the rubber fittings are present on the rear part of the slides;
  • with the sunroof open to the swivel setting, check the condition and correct fastening of the end travel clips and central gutter slides;
  • with the sunroof fully open, check the condition and correct fastening of the spoiler rubber end travel stops.
End of diagnosis1. Faulty fastenings.

1. Restore all the components and the fastening of the entire mechanism

2. Faults in the sunroof operating devices.
