ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE GAUGE NOT WORKING

With the ignition on, the maximum engine coolant temperature gauge on the auxiliary instrument panel is not working

The signal is made available to the instrument panel and via a serial line to the gauge.

1	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Keeping the Examiner connected to the diagnostic socket, check the operation of the pointer on the instrument panel by means of active diagnosis	Move on to Step 2	The pointer does not operate because the instrument is defective	Replace the gauge Op. 5560C51 COMBINED ANALOGUE CONTROL PANEL - R+R OR REPLACE
2	CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic socket. Check for faults in the Engine Control Node	Move on to Step 3	1. Serial line with NQS broken	1. Restore the serial line
			2. Instrument panel power supply interrupted	2. Restore power supply
			3.Instrument defective	3. Replace the gauge Op. 5560C51 COMBINED ANALOGUE CONTROL PANEL - R+R OR REPLACE
3	CHECK FOR ENGINE CONTROL FAULTS	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	The panel indicates errors not detected by the engine control unit: proceed as instructed in the See table K101 MIL WARNING LIGHT STAYS ON (ENGINE STARTS)	End of diagnosis
	ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check the continuity/insulation of the cable between the engine coolant temperature sensor, engine control unit, Body Computer and instrument panel See E5030 PETROL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT		1.Leads broken/not insulated	1. Restore cable continuity/insulation
			2. Temperature sensor defective	2.Replace the engine temperature sensor Op. 1060G14 ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR - R.R.
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check that the fault is no longer present See E5030 PETROL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT	End of diagnosis	The fault persists.	Replace Body Computer Op. 5505A32 BODY COMPUTER - R.R
