SIDE LIGHTS/NO. PLATE LIGHTS NOT WORKING

When the side light switch is operated, the side lights/number plate lights do not come on;

the voltage for side light and number plate light activation is supplied directly from the body computer node.

	Connect the Examiner to the diagnostic socket check that there are no faults in the Body Computer the operation of the lights in active diagnosis.	Continue to Step 3	Side/no. plate lights error (open circuit or short circuit)	Check the operation of the individual lights: wiring diagram See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS
2	CHECK ON INDIVIDUAL LIGHTS	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check the condition of the individual bulbs and complete bulb holder assembly	Continue to Step 3	Bulb damaged	Replace the bulbs
			Bulb damaged	Repair or replace the right front light cluster
			Bulb damaged	Repair or replace the left front light cluster
			Bulb damaged	Repair or replace the right rear light cluster
			Bulb damaged	Repair or replace the left rear light cluster
			Bulb damaged	Repair or replace the no. plate lights bulb holder
3	SIDE/NO. PLATE LIGHTS ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT CHECK	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	check connections between Body Computer and steering column switch unit; connections between ignition switch, Dashboard Control Unit and Body Computer; connections between Body Computer and bulbs bulb earth: wiring diagram See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS	Continue to Step 4	Connections broken	Renew the electrical connections See E2010 SIDE LIGHTS / NO. PLATE LIGHTS
4	CHECK ON STEERING COLUMN SWITCH UNIT	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the steering column switch unit is working properly: in particular, the side lights switch:	Continue to Step 5	Stalk unit not working properly	Replace the stalk unit
5	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems met	Operation
	Check that the fault is no longer present	End of diagnosis	Fault persists	Replace the Body Computer
