1.2 8v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r.

Proceed with removal - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r.

1. Unscrew the fuel filler pipe cap.

2. Undo the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

1.2 16v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r.

Proceed with removal - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r.

1. Unscrew the fuel filler pipe cap.

2. Undo the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

1.4 16v

Removing

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Proceed with removal - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r.

Proceed with removal - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r.

1. Unscrew the fuel filler pipe cap.

2. Undo the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

1.3 JTD

Removing

Place the car on a ramp.

With the ignition key in the OFF position, disconnect the battery negative terminal.

Raise the car.

1. Undo the filler fitting retaining bolts.

2. Open collars (2a) and disconnect fuel filler pipe (2b) and pipe (2c) from the tank.

3. Undo the fixing bolts (3a) and remove fuel filler pipe (3b).

1.2 8v

1. Undo the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the fuel filler pipe from the tank.

3. Loosen the band (3a) and disconnect the return pipe (3b).

4. Remove the fuel filler pipe assembly.

1.2 16v

1. Undo the bolt securing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the fuel filler pipe from the tank.

3. Loosen the band (3a) and disconnect the fuel return pipe (3b).

4. Remove the fuel filler pipe assembly.

1.4 16v

1. Undo the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

2. Loosen the band and disconnect the fuel filler pipe from the tank.

3. Loosen the band (3a) and disconnect return pipe (3b).

4. Remove the fuel filler pipe assembly.

1.3 JTD

Refitting

Fit the fuel filler pipe.

Tighten fuel filler fitting retaining bolts.

Use new collars to connect the pipes to the tank.

With the ignition key in OFF position, connect the battery negative terminal.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.2 8v

Refitting

Refit the fuel filler pipe.

Connect the return pipe and secure it using the retaining band.

Connect thefuel filler pipe to the tank and secure it using the band.

Tighten the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

Place the fuel filler pipe cap in its housing and tighten.

Proceed with refitting - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r.

Proceed with refitting - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r.

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.2 16v

Refitting

Refit the fuel filler pipe.

Connect the return pipe and secure it using the retaining band.

Connect the fuel filler pipe to the tank and secure it using the band.

Tighten the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

Place the fuel filler pipe cap in its housing and tighten.

Proceed with refitting - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r.

Proceed with refitting - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r.

Remove the car from the ramps.

1.4 16v

Refitting

Refit the fuel filler pipe.

Connect the return pipe and secure it using the retaining band.

Connect the fuel filler pipe to the tank and secure it using the band.

Tighten the bolts fixing the fuel filler pipe to the bodyshell.

Place the fuel filler pipe cap in its housing and tighten.

Proceed with refitting - 7055B45 right hand rear supplementary wheel arch - r+r.

Proceed with refitting - 4450B08 right rear wheel r r.

Remove the car from the ramps.
