DRIVER'S FRONT SEAT BACKREST ADJUSTMENT NOT WORKING

The adjustment is carried out by means of the joystick located at the side of the side and connected to the Driving Position Node.

The Driving Position Node is, in turn, connected to the adjustment motor, the potentiometer connected to the motor memorizes the position of the seat.

When the speed of the vehicle exceeds 10 Km/h the adjustment of the driver's seat by recalling the position memorized is not possible.

STEPOPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUTTEST RESULTS
1CHECK USING DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT.ALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Connect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connect and check the following at the Driving Position NodeIn errors ambient

  • that there are no faults

In parameters ambient

  • the plausibility of the seat backrest forward/backward adjustment parameter

In active diagnosis ambient

  • the operation of the backrest adjustment motor.
Move on to Step1. faults present1. continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment
2. the backrest adjustment parameter is not plausible.Move on to Step
3. The motor is not workingMove on to Step
2COMPONENT CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Remove the control panel and check that it is working properly

Move on to StepControl panel not workingReplace the control panel
3ELECTRICAL SYSTEM CHECK.ALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Remove the seat from the vehicle, remove the rear seat cover and check the continuity/insulation between:

  • Driving Position Node and backrest adjustment motor
  • Driving Position Node and backrest coupling connection.

  • backrest coupling connection and backrest adjustment motor.

Move on to StepElectrical equipment faulty.

Restore the electrical connection.

Connect the seat electricallyConnect the Examiner diagnostic equipment to the diagnostic connect and check the following at the Driving Position Node in active diagnosis.With the help of a voltmeter and with the active diagnosis activated, check for power supply positives at the motor
