CENTRAL LOCKING NOT WORKING

When the central locking is operated via the driver's door using the mechanical key and/or from the inside, via the locking/unlocking buttons, the central locking system does not work.

The door locking/unlocking command reaches the Body Computer Node via the B-CAN. The latter sends the signal received to the door nodes and to the luggage compartment node which controls the locks for the rear doors and the boot lid.

	Keeping the Examiner diagnostic equipment connected, check: no control unit inactive; no faulty control units; no control units with faulty CAN line;	Move on to Step	Presence of faults.	Continue following the instructions for the diagnostic equipment.

	Using the Examiner diagnostic equipment, check that the learning of the change of status of the door locking/unlocking switch is correct by turning the key in the lock barrel	Move on to Step	The door lock change of status is not learnt.	Move on to Step

	Check the operation of the linkage and the condition of the connections	Move on to Step	Linkage faulty	Restore operation

	Check the continuity/insulation of the electrical connection between the door lock and the door node (Wiring Diagram ) E3040 CENTRAL LOCKING	Move on to Step	Electrical connection broken or not insulated.	Restore the electrical connection (Wiring Diagram ) E3040 CENTRAL LOCKING
