STRUCTURE
The power unit is said to be suspended.
The unit is secured to the body by means of 4 mounts with flexible damping blocks:
- a rear block connects the engine to the flexible block secured to the suspension frame (the intermediate driveshaft is also connected to this mount).
- a reaction link that connects the engine to the body
- a gearbox-end steel block that connects the engine to the flexible block secured to the body
- a steel camshaft-end block that connects the engine to the flexible block secured to the suspension frame (the compressor is also connected to this mount).
To minimise judder, the top of the engine is connected to the body by a reaction link.
- 1, Rigid rear mount
- 2, Reaction link
- 3, Rigid gearbox-end mount
- 4, Rigid camshaft-end mount
STRUCTURE
The power unit is said to be suspended.
The unit is secured to the body by means of 4 mounts with flexible damping blocks:
- one on aluminium alloy on the camshaft side;
- a rear steel block that is secured to the suspension beam;
- one on aluminium alloy on the gearbox side;
- one to limit engine shake that is connected to the body at the top by means of a reaction link.
- 1, Rear rigid mount.
- 2, Rigid gearbox mount.
- 3, Rigid camshaft side mount.
- 4, Reaction link.
Structure
The power unit support is the "suspended" type.
The unit is secured to the bodyshell by means of 4 supports with flexible mountings:
- one timing side aluminium alloy;
- one rear steel which is fastened to the suspension crossmember;
- one gearbox side aluminium alloy;
- one for restricting jolts to the engine connected at the top to the bodyshell by means of a reaction rod.
- 1, Rigid rear support
- 2, Gearbox side rigid support
- 3, Timing side rigid support
- 4, Reaction rod
