THERMOSTAT UNIT - R.R. with cylinder head removed

Operation 1088C32 · WATER PUMP AND THERMOSTAT

2.4 20V

Removing

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine coolant temperature sensor.

2. Disconnect the coolant return pipe to the engine coolant reservoir, thermostat side.

3. Undo the bolts (3a) and remove the thermostat (3b).

- Remove the gasket.

Refitting

- Place the thermostat complete with gasket back in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the coolant return pipe to the engine coolant reservoir, thermostat side.

- Connect the electrical connection to the engine coolant temperature sensor.

2.0 TB

Removing

1. Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine coolant temperature sensor.

2. Disconnect the coolant return pipe to the engine coolant reservoir, thermostat side.

3. Undo the bolts (3a) and remove the thermostat (3b).

- Remove the gasket.

Refitting

- Place the thermostat complete with gasket back in its housing and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the coolant return pipe to the engine coolant reservoir, thermostat side.

- Connect the electrical connection to the engine coolant temperature sensor.

2.4 JTD 20V

Removing

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the thermostat (1b) complete with coolant temperature sensor (1c).

- Remove the gasket.

Refitting

- Refit the thermostat with gasket and coolant temperature sensor in its seat.

- Tighten the fixing bolts to the recommended torque.
