Removing

See in Op. 1064A27 PIPE between vacuum reservoir and actuator control solenoid valve - R.R.

1. Disconnect the two oil vapour pipes from the tappet cover.

2. Undo the fixing bolts.

3. Remove the tappet cover.

Refitting

- Fit the tappet cover on the cylinder head.

- Tighten the bolts fixing the tappet cover to torque.

- Connect the oil vapour recovery pipes to the tappet cover.

Removing

- Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal.

- Release the wiring for the ignition coils from the fastenings on the tappet cover.

1. Disconnect the engine oil vapour recovery pipes from the tappet cover.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the tappet cover (1b) complete with gasket.

Refitting

- Position the tappet cover, complete with a new gasket, and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the engine oil vapour recovery pipes to the tappet cover.

- Connect the negative battery terminal.

- Make sure that the ignition key is in the OFF position, then disconnect the negative battery terminal.

- Release the wiring for the ignition coils from the fastenings on the tappet cover.

1. Disconnect the engine oil vapour recovery pipe from the tappet cover.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the tappet cover (1b) complete with gasket.

Refitting

- Position the tappet cover, complete with a new gasket, and secure it tightening the bolts to the recommended torque.

- Connect the engine oil vapour recovery pipe to the tappet cover.
