PASSENGER COMPARTMENT, REAR AREA WATER PENETRATION

Water infiltration is noted into the rear of the passenger compartment when raining or after washing.

STEP	OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT	TEST RESULTS
1	CHECK FOR INFILTRATIONS THROUGH THE REAR SCREEN	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check for infiltrations through the rear screen using water, soap and compressed air	Move on to Step	Small points where sealant is lacking	Restore the sealant working from inside the vehicle.
2	CHECK SEAL ROUND TAILGATE COMPARTMENT	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	Check condition of seal and for kinks or deformations	Move on to Step	Seal with kinks and deformations	Replace seal
3	CHECK TAILGATE ALIGNMENT/SQUARENESS	ALL OK	PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED	ACTION
	With the tailgate closed, check uninformity and alignment with the roof and tail-lights.Check the seal is correctly positioned around the edge of the tail-gate.	Move on to Step	The tail-gate is not square and is misaligned	Fit the tail-gate correctly

	Check the seal and that the roof rack attachment is correctly fitted	Move on to Step	Incorrect fit between roof and side panel, not sealed	Restore sealant
