Removing

Place the car on a lift.

Raise the car.

1. Release the exhaust silencer from the rubber mountings.

2. Release the centre section of the exhaust pipe from the rubber mounting.

Removing

Place the car on a lift.

Raise the car.

1. Release the exhaust silencer from the rubber mountings.

2. Release the centre section of the exhaust pipe from the rubber mounting.

1.3 JTD 16v

Removing

Place the car on a lift.

Raise the car.

1. Release the exhaust silencer from the rubber mountings.

2. Release the centre section of the exhaust pipe from the rubber mounting.

1. Undo the fastening for the flange joining the rear silencer to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1. Undo the bolt fixing the flange joining the rear silencer to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

1.3 JTD 16v

1. Undo the bolt fixing the flange joining the rear silencer to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

2. Remove the rear exhaust silencer.

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer in place and secure it to the rubber mountings.

Secure the centre section of the exhaust pipe to the rubber mounting.

Tighten the nut securing the flange joining the rear exaust silencer to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

Lower the vehicle.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer in place and secure it to the rubber mountings.

Secure the centre section of the exhaust pipe to the rubber mounting.

Tighten the nut fixing the flange joining the rear exhaust silencer to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

Lower the vehicle.

Remove the vehicle from the ramp.

Refitting

Fit the rear exhaust silencer in place and secure it to the rubber mountings.

Secure the centre section of the exhaust pipe to the rubber mounting.

Tighten the nut fixing the flange joining the rear exhaust silencer to the centre section of the exhaust pipe.

Lower the vehicle.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.
