HYDRAULIC BRAKE SYSTEM BLEED AIR

Operation 0010T65 · VEHICLE OIL AND FLUIDS

2.0 JTS

Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Cnnect the tool to the brake/clutch fluid reservoir.

2. Remove the protective cap from the bleed valve on the brake caliper.

3. Connect the recovery device (pipe and reservoir) to the brake caliper bleed valve.

4. Open the bleed valve on the brake caliper.

5. Open the fluid reservoir tap slowly.

Wait for all the air in the hydraulic system to escape.

Close the bleed valve on the brake callipers and fit the protective plug.

Repeat the operations described above for the remaining brake calipers.

Remove the recovery device (pipe and reservoir)

Remove the equipment.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

3.2 V6

Position the vehicle on a lift.

1. Cnnect the tool to the brake/clutch fluid reservoir.

2. Remove the protective cap from the bleed valve on the brake caliper.

3. Connect the recovery device (pipe and reservoir) to the brake caliper bleed valve.

4. Open the bleed valve on the brake caliper.

5. Open the fluid reservoir tap slowly.

Wait for all the air in the hydraulic system to escape.

Close the bleed valve on the brake callipers and fit the protective plug.

Repeat the operations described above for the remaining brake calipers.

Remove the recovery device (pipe and reservoir)

Remove the equipment.

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.9 JTD 16V

Position the vehicle on a lift.

Proceed with removal Refer to op. 1016A10 SOUNDPROOFING COVER - R&R

1. Cnnect the tool to the brake/clutch fluid reservoir.

2. Remove the protective cap from the bleed valve on the brake caliper.

3. Connect the recovery device (pipe and reservoir) to the brake caliper bleed valve.

4. Open the bleed valve on the brake caliper.

5. Open the fluid reservoir tap slowly.

Wait for all the air in the hydraulic system to escape.

Close the bleed valve on the brake callipers and fit the protective plug.

Repeat the operations described above for the remaining brake calipers.

Remove the recovery device (pipe and reservoir)

Remove the equipment.

Proceed with refitting Refer to op. 1016A10 SOUNDPROOFING COVER - R&R

Remove the vehicle from the lift.

1.8 T.SPARK

• Position the vehicle on a lift.

• Connect the tool to the brake/clutch fluid reservoir.

2. Remove the protective cap from the bleed valve on the brake caliper.

3. Connect the recovery device (pipe and reservoir) to the brake caliper bleed valve.

4. Open the bleed valve on the brake caliper.

5. Open the fluid reservoir tap slowly.

• Wait for all the air in the hydraulic system to escape.
• Close the bleed valve on the brake callipers and fit the protective plug.
• Repeat the operations described above for the remaining brake calipers.

• Remove the recovery device (pipe and reservoir)
• Remove the equipment.

• Remove the vehicle from the lift.
