LIGHTING CONTROLS - FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION

The "MODE" "+" and "-" controls, located on the left steering column switch unit lever +15, send an analogue signal to the instrument panel E50 at pin 5 of connector A.

The dimmed power supply for the auxiliary instruments E20 leaves pin 5 of connector C of E50 (pin 2 of connector C provides the reference earth).

The Body Computer M1 is connected via the CAN line to the instrument panel E50 from which it receives the "brightness adjustment" signal which is transmitted to the radio node and to the climate control system control unit

See E1050 CAN CONNECTION LINES

The power supply with the side lights on is sent from the Body Computer M1 - pin 40 of connector E to the cigar lighter light P50 as well as to the controls on the front courtesy light G10.

When the side lights are on, the same power supply is sent - pin 18 of connector H of M1 - to radio telephone wiring D75.

The lighting of the front door controls H44 and H50 is managed by the driver side door control unit M66 and passenger side door control unit M67, supplied at pin 11 of connector D by a line protected by fuse F32 of the underfacia control unit B2, and connected via the CAN line to the Body Computer M1.

The ignition-controlled power supply line (INT), protected by fuse F35 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2, provides the lighting for the switch unit on the tunnel H35.

The ignition-operated power supply line (INT), protected by fuse F49 of the junction unit under the dashboard B2, provides the lighting for the hazard warning lights control H20, the control panel to the left of the dashboard H90, the radio controls on the steering wheel D47, the boot opening control unit H33 and those on the seats I65 and I66.
