WIND NOISE FROM THE FRONT DOORS

With the vehicle moving, noise can be heard coming from one of the front doors

0	PRELIMINARY CHECKS	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
		Test results
	First of all check that the moving window is correctly shut. Check that the wind noise is actually coming from one of the front doors.	Move on to Step 1	The wind noise is coming from the bonnet.	Continue following the instructions in the table See table T005 BONNET WIND NOISE
			The wind noise is coming from the windscreen.	Continue following the instructions in the table See table T006 WINDSCREEN WIND NOISE
			The wind noise is coming from the lower part of the passenger compartment.	Continue following the instructions in the table See table T010 PASSENGER COMPARTMENT WIND NOISE, LOWER AREA (UNDERBODY)
			The wind noise is coming from the rear area.	Continue following the instructions in the table See table T025 WIND NOISE FROM THE REAR AREA
1	CHECK ON DUST SEAL ON DOOR	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check that the weatherstrip/dust seal is correctly fitted.	End of diagnosis	Weatherstrip incorrectly fitted.	Refit the weatherstrip correctly Op. 7005A34 FRONT SIDE DOOR COMPARTMENT SEAL - R.R
	Check that the weatherstrip/dust seal is correctly fitted.	End of diagnosis	Dust seal incorrectly fitted.	Refit the seal correctly Op. 7005A50 FRONT SIDE DOOR WEATHERSTRIP - R.R.
2	CHECK ON LOCATION OF WIND NOISE FROM FRONT DOORS	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Carry out the test to locate the wind noise from the front doors accurately See Test 7005OA FRONT DOOR WIND NOISE LOCALISATION locate the area where the wind noise is coming from.	End of diagnosis	The wind noise persists with the entire door taped	Check for sealant between the wing and the pillar under the wheel arch liner
			The wind noise is coming from the area between the pillar and the windscreen	Check the condition of the door housing seal in that area and that it adheres correctly to the bodyshell, if necessary, replace it Op. 7005E80 FRONT SIDE DOOR INNER PANEL FRONT LINING - R.R.
			The wind noise is coming from the area between the door and the windscreen	Check the condition of the door housing seal in that area and that it adheres correctly to the bodyshell, if necessary, replace it Op. 7005E50 FRONT SIDE DOOR PILLAR TRIM (ONE) LH OR RH - R.R.
			The wind noise is coming from the area between the door and the windscreen	Adjust the door hinges Op. 7005A14 FRONT SIDE DOOR - ADJUST CENTERING AND MOULDING - INCLUDES ADAPTATION OF HINGES AND SEALS ON DOOR COMPARTMENT
			The wind noise is coming from the area between the door and the wing	Adjust the door hinges Op. 7005A14 FRONT SIDE DOOR - ADJUST CENTERING AND MOULDING - INCLUDES ADAPTATION OF HINGES AND SEALS ON DOOR COMPARTMENT
			The wind noise is coming from the area of the outer glass scraper	Check the condition of the glass scaper and make sure it is correctly fitted Op. 7005D26 FRONT SIDE DESCENDING WINDOW GLASS SCRAPER (OUTER) (ONE), LEFT OR RIGHT- R.R
			The wind noise is coming from the mirror	Check the condition of the seal between the mirror and the door and make sure it is correctly fitted: renew it or replace the actual mirror Op. 7005R30 ELECTRICALLY CONTROLLED DOOR MIRROR (ONE) - R+R
