VARIABLE GEOMETRY TURBOCHARGER ACTUATOR SEAL TEST

Check 1064BC

2.4 JTD 20v

Visually inspect that during start-up, the turbocharger actuator connecting rod (turbine stator vanes adjustment device) moves by around 10 mm in the direction of the actuator.

With the engine switched off, connect connector EX09 and transducer EX06 in the section of pipe between the actuator and the solenoid valve.

Select intake pressure measuring gauge in instrument mode.

Start up the engine and let it idle, then wait until pressure pressure stabilizes.

The reading should not exceed 450-550 mmHg.

The graphic acquisition of the pressure trend can be carried out by selecting either the 2000 or 4000 mmHg scale.
