DIESEL FUEL PRESSURE CHECK

| 1 | With the engine idling and warm, with all users off and the accelerator pedal not operated, the target Diesel Pressure and the measured Diesel Pressure must be in a range between 200 and 500 bars | Move on to Step 3 |
| 2 | When the accelerator pedal is pumped several times, the measured Diesel Pressure must be in a range between 200 and 1500 bars. The test can be considered over | Move on to Step 3 |
| 3 | Turn the ignition key to the OFF position. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel pressure sensor. Turn the ignition key ON. Measure the voltage between Pin 3 of the sensor and Earth, checking that it is within a range between 4.8 and 5.2 V. Move on to Step 5 | Move on to Step 4 |
| 4 | If faults are present, repair or if necessary replace the electrical wiring between the engine control unit and the debimeter. See E5050 DIESEL ENGINES ELECTRONIC MANAGEMENT The test can be considered over | Replace the engine management control unit |
| 5 | Measure the voltage between Pins 1 and 3 of the sensor. Check it is in a range between 4.8 and 5.2 V | Move on to Step 4 |

| 7 | Replace the pressure sensor and check the fault has disappeared Op. 1060G28 FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR ON FUEL MANIFOLD TO INJECTORS - R.R | Repair the original pressure sensor and replace the engine management control unit. |
