WARNING LIGHTS CONTROL LINE ERROR

The diagnostic equipment signals the following error: "C1108 - Warning light serial line"

this error is indicated if the control unit cannot communicate with the instrument panel

1	CHECK PANEL INITIAL CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Turn the key ON and check that the instrument panel carries out the initial check on the warning lights	Move on to Step 3 1	Failure to carry out the initial check	Move on to Step 2 1
3	ELECTRICAL CONNECTION CHECK	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Check the electrical continuity of the serial line between the ABS control unit and the body computer See E7023 ESP	Move on to Step 4 1	Electrical continuity failure between the ABS control unit and the body computer	Restore the correct connection and move on to Step 4
4	CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATION	All OK	Problems encountered	Operation
	Clear the errors using the Examiner Turn the key OFF and then ON to ensure that the control unit checks whether the errors are still present. Check that the fault is no longer present	End of diagnosis	The fault persists	Move on to Step 1
