Single cam cover - r + r and replace gasket

Removing

- 1048A10 air cleaner filtering element - replace

- 5510C30 engine timing sensor - r+r

1. Disconnect the accelerator cable (1a) from throttle valve linkage (1b) and remove the cable from support bracket (1c).

Place the accelerator cable to one side.

- 5510C30 engine timing sensor - r+r

1. Disconnect the accelerator cable (1a) from throttle valve linkage (1b) and remove the cable from support bracket (1c).

Place the accelerator cable to one side.

1. Undo retaining clip (1a) and disconnect wiring duct (1b) from slots (1c) on the cam cover.

1. Undo retaining clip (1a) and disconnect wiring duct (1b) from slots (1c) on the cam cover.

1. Disconnect the oil vapour recovery pipe on the cam cover side and place to one side.

1. Disconnect the oil vapour recovery pipe on the cam cover side and place to one side.

1. Remove the engine oil filler plug.

1. Remove the engine oil filler plug.

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the cam cover (1b).

1. Undo the bolts (1a) and remove the cam cover (1b).

Remove the underlying gasket.

Remove the underlying gasket.

Refitting

Fit a new gasket.

Fit the cam cover and tighten the bolts to torque.

Fit the engine oil filler plug.

Connect the engine oil vapour recovery pipe.

Position the electrical wiring duct in the slots on the cam cover.

Position the accelerator pedal cable and fit the head to the throttle linkage.

Refitting

Fit a new gasket.

Fit the cam cover and tighten the bolts to torque.

Fit the engine oil filler plug.

Connect the engine oil vapour recovery pipe.

Position the electrical wiring duct in the slots on the cam cover.

Position the accelerator pedal cable and fit the head to the throttle linkage.
