HYDRAULIC POWER STEERING SYSTEM BLEED AIR

Operation 0010T75 · VEHICLE FLUIDS

The power assisted steering hydraulic system bleeds automatically during operation whilst the engine is running. The flow of fluid in the system causes the level in the reservoir to go down. After carrying out the following procedure a small amount of air may remain in the system. This has no negative repercussions given that the system continues to breather whilst driving.

- Start the engine then turn the steering wheel from right to left fully several times.

- If necessary, top up the hydraulic system with the recommended fluid.
