DISPLAY SIGNALS ICE DANGER WITH HIGH OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE

The "Instrument Panel Node" receives information on the outside temperature from the "Driver''s Door Node" which in turn receives the figure from the sensor on the moving part of the driver''s rear view mirror.

0PRELIMINARY CHECKALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION

Check that the temperature value shown on the instrument panel display is plausible.

Also check that when the NQS is switched off and switched back on again the temperature value is plausible.

Move on to Step 31.Irregular value not plausible.1.Move on to step 1
2.The value is correct when the ignition is switched on again.2.Move on to step 3

Replace the instrument panel

Using the Examiner in the "Driver''s Door Node" ambient, check that there is no air temperature sensor error.Move on to Step 31.Outside air temperature sensor defective/stuck.

1.Replace the sensor

2. Wiring defective2.Renew the wiring
3CHECK ON CORRECT OPERATIONALL OKPROBLEMS ENCOUNTEREDACTION
Check that the fault is no longer present.End of diagnosis
