SPARK PLUG STATUS CHECK

	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	RESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
1	Disconnect the high tension lead from the individual spark plugs and check there are no microwelds on the spark plug terminal	Replace the damaged spark plugs Op. 5510D10 SPARK PLUGS - R+R
2	Remove the spark plugs from the cylinder head Op. 5510D10 SPARK PLUGS - R+R and check for signs of fouling, such as those shown in the following figures	Move on to Step 6

	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	RESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
3	Check that the spark plug earth electrodes are not bent or misaligned as shown in the following figure	Move on to Step 6

	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	RESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
4	Check that the spark plug ceramic insulator is not damaged, as shown in the following figure	Move on to Step 6

	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	RESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
5	Use a tester to ensure that the resistance between the connection terminal and the central electrode (shown in the following figure) of each spark plug is between 2 and 50 kOhms.	The test is complete. Replace spark plugs not within the range Op. 5510D10 SPARK PLUGS - R+R

	CHECK TO BE PERFORMED	RESOLUTION IF THE CHECK IS NOT OK
6	Connect the diagnostic instrument and ensure that error P0300 is present at the same time as at least one other from among P0301, P0302, P0303, P0304, P0305, P0306	Replace the spark plug set Op. 5510D10 SPARK PLUGS - R+R
7	Replace the spark plugs within whose cylinders the error was detected (e.g. the spark plug of cylinder 1 for P0301) Op. 5510D10 SPARK PLUGS - R+R
