Description
For the first time special preparation is available for the installation of the "TELEPASS" device (Italian market only).
This communcations system pays motorway tolls without the need to stop at a paybooth. An electronic device fitted to the car emits a sound pulse that is picked up by a receiver on the paybooth, through which the car drives at moderate speed but without stopping.
The option takes the form of a specific rear view mirror that contains housing for this electronic device in addition to device wiring. The device is operated when the ignition key is turned to MAR.
The above lines are protected by a fuse in the junction unit.
Description of operation
The connection for the TELEPASS device D76 consists of a supply controlled by the ignition (INT) (pin 1) coming from the line for fuse F1 of the junction unit B1 and a connection (pin 3) to earth C30.
