E2022 Reverse light (S.W.)

Description

The car is equipped with two reversing lights situated iin the centre of the tail-light unit (on the tail-gate).

These are operated whenever reverse is engaged via a switch on the outside of the gear housing.

The reversing light circuit is supplied with the ignition key turned to MAR - fully independently of the other lights - by a line protected by a fuse in the junction unit.

Description of operation

The switch for the reversing lights I20 is supplied when the ignition is switched on (INT) by the line for fuse F1 for the junction unit B1.

When reverse gear is engaged, the switch closes and sends the supply to the reversing lights in the centre rear light cluster on the left F35 and on the right F36, via the junction unit B1 (pin 9 connector D and pins 6 and 7 of connector G).

Reversing light switch I20 is not present.

Pins 8 and 9 of the automatic transmission solenoids unit L50, connector A, are connected to the reverse gear sensor and send the signals for switching on the reversing light in the same way as for other versions.
