Alternator - r+r (2.0 TS)

Operation 5530A10 · 2.0 TS · Alternator and components

Removal

Position the vehicle on the ramp.

Ensure that the ignition key is in the stop OFF, then disconnect the battery negative terminal.

Component A1B Battery

Proceed with the removal See Op. 4450B10 Front or rear wheel (one) - r+r (Right side).

Proceed with the removal See Op. 7055B64 Engine bay dust protection in rear wheel arch (one), lh or rh - r r (Right side).

Proceed with the removal See Op. 7055B54 Under-engine guard - r r .

Proceed with the removal See Op. 1092G10 Single engine belt r r .

Proceed with the removal See Op. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the removal See Op. 4410A80 Damper lower fork - r r .

Proceed with the removal See Op. 2710A31 Intermediate drive shaft - r r .

1 Disconnect the electrical connection from the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

Component K30 Engine oil pressure sensor (switch) 1

1 Undo the bolts 1a and remove the modular intake manifold mounting bracket 1b after having released it from the electrical wiring.

1 Disconnect the electrical connections from the alternator.

Component A10 Alternator 1

2 Undo the upper alternator fixing bolt.

1 Undo the bolts 1a and remove the alternator rear bracket 1b.

1 Undo the bolt 1a and remove the power assisted steering pump protection 1b.

Proceed with the removal See Op. 1008A44 Rear rigid mount - r r .

1 Undo the lower bolt 1a and remove the alternator 1b.

Refitting

Refit the alternator in its seating and secure it temporarily with the bottom bolt.

Refit the alternator rear bracket in its seating and fix it using the bolts.

Tighten the two bolts fixing the alternator to the recommended torque.

Bolt M10 – Alternator assembly: 5.0 daNm

Bolt M10 – Alternator assembly: 5.0 daNm

Connect the electrical connections to the alternator.

Place the power assisted steering pump protection back in its housing and secure it using the bolt.

Proceed with the refitting See Op. 1008A44 Rear rigid mount - r r .

Place the modular intake manifold mounting bracket back in its housing and secure it using the bolts.

Secure the electrical wiring to the bands on the modular intake manifold mounting bracket.

Connect the electrical connection to the engine oil pressure warning light switch.

Proceed with the refitting See Op. 2710A31 Intermediate drive shaft - r r .

Proceed with the refitting See Op. 4410A80 Damper lower fork - r r .

Proceed with the refitting See Op. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the refitting See Op. 1092G10 Single engine belt r r .

Proceed with the refitting See Op. 7055B54 Under-engine guard - r r .

Proceed with the refitting See Op. 7055B64 Engine bay dust protection in rear wheel arch (one), lh or rh - r r (Right side).

Proceed with the refitting See Op. 4450B10 Front or rear wheel (one) - r+r (Right side).

Connect the battery terminal (-).

Remove the car from the ramp.
