Operation 0510C20 · Check systems

Bring the engine up to temperature (oil temperature 90°C).

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 7055B54 Under-engine guard - r r .

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1072C44 Exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r .

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1072C44 Exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r .

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1080B62 Catalytic converter - r + r .

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1084A42 Engine oil pressure warning light switch - r + r .

1 Fit the tool in the seat of the low engine oil pressure switch.

Special tool 1.860.969.000 – Union pipe 1

2 Fit the pressure gauge.

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1080B62 Catalytic converter - r + r .

Lubrication system - check delivery pressure

Start the engine only for the time required to check that the oil pressure is within the specified values.

Engine oil pressure at 4000 rpm/ (bar)
1.0 ÷ 1.5
3.5 ÷ 4.5

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1080B62 Catalytic converter - r + r .

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the removal Refer to op.. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Remove the pressure gauge.

Remove the tool.

Special tool 1.860.969.000 – Union pipe

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1084A42 Engine oil pressure warning light switch - r + r .

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1080B62 Catalytic converter - r + r .

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1072C44 Exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r .

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1080B40 Catalytic pre-converter - r r .

Proceed with the refitting Refer to op.. 1072C44 Exhaust manifold heat shield on bulkhead - r+r .
