About UD Trucks

UD Trucks is a Japanese maker of diesel trucks and buses, based in Ageo, Saitama, and known as Nissan Diesel until 2010. The UD name came from its 1955 Uniflow Diesel two-stroke engine, and is now said to stand for "Ultimate Dependability". It has been owned by Isuzu since 2021.
