About SEAT

SEAT was founded on 9 May 1950 as a joint venture between the Spanish state, Spanish banks and Fiat. The Spanish government sold it to the Volkswagen Group in 1986, and it is based at Martorell, near Barcelona. SEATs share their platforms and engines with Volkswagen, Škoda and Audi models.
