About Freightliner

Freightliner is an American truck maker, founded as part of Consolidated Freightways and established as Freightliner Corporation in 1942, and based in Portland, Oregon. It was owned by Daimler from 1981 and is now part of Daimler Truck North America. Besides heavy trucks it sold the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van in the US, built from kits.

• Sprinter 2500 and 3500: the 2.7-litre five-cylinder turbo diesel (2002–2004) and the 3.0-litre V6 turbo diesel (2007–2008).

Tip: the Dodge Sprinter is the same van, identical apart from badges and minor styling.
